Sammaan Capital Limited ('SCL') formerly known as Indiabulls Housing Finance Limited (IBHFL) is a mortgage-focused non-banking financial company (NBFC). SCL was incorporated on 10 May 2005 and is regulated by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). SCL is ‘AA’ rated by leading rating agencies CRISIL and ICRA. The company has a strong nationwide presence of over 200 branches offering quick, convenient and competitively priced home loans in the affordable housing segment. The company also provides loans to MSMEs/small businesses for working capital. The Company pre-dominantly offer housing loans and loans against property to their varied client base which comprises (i) salaried employees; (ii) self-employed individuals; (iii) micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (“MSMEs”); and (iv) corporates. They focus primarily on long-term secured mortgage-backed loans. They also offer mortgage loans to real estate developers in India in the form of lease rental discounting for commercial premises and finance for the construction of residential premises. SCL has now shifted to an asset-light business model, focusing on co-lending of loans along with banks, other financial institutions and credit funds & an increased sell down of their loan portfolio. The Company relies on long-term and medium-term borrowings from banks and other financial institutions, including external commercial borrowings and
issuance of NCDs. They have a diversified lender base, comprising public sector undertakings (“PSUs”), private banks and other financial institutions. The Company also sells down parts of their portfolio through the securitisation and/or direct assignment of loan receivables to various banks and other financial institutions, which is a major source of liquidity for them.
